Tern Verge S8i
The Tern Verge S8i is a folding bike designed for commuters requiring an ultra-low-maintenance, quiet and practical urban bicycle. It combines a Gates Carbon Drive belt with a Shimano Alfine 8-speed internally geared hub, so there are no greasy parts and no exposed derailleur.
The frame is made of hydroformed aluminium with smooth TIG welding and the OCL+ folding joint. The Schwalbe Big Apple tyres with Kevlar puncture protection and the long wheelbase help the bike roll confidently over potholes. Shimano Deore hydraulic disc brakes provide strong stopping power, and the Andros™ stem allows the riding position to be adjusted without tools. The front Valo™ 2 light is powered by the BioLogic Joule™ 3 dynamo hub, so no batteries are needed.
The bike folds in under 10 seconds to a compact size that fits under a desk. Fenders are fitted, and a Tern Cargo Rack carries loads of up to 25 kg. The Verge S8i is supplied in one frame size and suits riders from 142 to 190 cm.
The Verge S8i is suited to daily commuting, mixed transport with trains and cars, and storage in small apartments or offices.
