VIVELO was born from the connection of our two worlds coming together and from the desire to live a more conscious & connected life.

 

Bas grew up in the Netherlands, where riding a bike is as natural as walking. From childhood onwards, the bike is freedom, independence, and the way you move through life. I, on the other hand, didn’t learn to ride until 2020. During those quiet COVID months, I got on a bike for the first time — and everything changed. What began as a challenge quickly became my favourite way to move.

When we moved to Valencia, our cargo bike came with us. We discovered that our bikes fit perfectly here, the city feels made for two wheels. I can ride with our baby in the front and sing to her and where our son and I share our best conversations after pick him up from school.

 

That sense of freedom, presence, and joy is what inspired us to create VIVELO. We want to help more families live life by bike — to move in a way that feels sustainable, mindful, and full of connection to each other and the place they call home.
