TERMS & CONDITIONS

By renting a bicycle from VIVELO Bikes, the renter agrees to the following terms and conditions.

1. Rental Requirements

  • The minimum rental age is 18 years.

  • The renter must present a valid ID when picking up the bicycle.

  • The renter must sign the rental agreement at pickup confirming acceptance of these terms.

  • Only the person whose name appears on the booking is allowed to collect and use the bicycle.

2. Rental Period

  • Bicycles may only be used for the duration specified in the booking.

  • Bikes must be returned on time.

  • Late returns will incur additional fees.

3. Payment & Deposit

  • Card payment only is accepted.

  • A security deposit will be charged at pickup:

    • Cargo bikes: €500

    • Tenways city bikes: €250

  • The deposit will be returned within 48 hours after the bike is returned and inspected.

4. Use of the Bicycle

  • Bicycles must remain within the city of Valencia and may not leave the city limits.

  • Bikes must be ridden only on roads and designated bicycle lanes.

  • Bicycles may be used for legal commercial activities.

  • The renter must use the bicycle responsibly and according to local traffic laws.

5. Safety & Children

  • Children under 16 must ride as passengers and may not operate the rented bicycles.

  • Cargo bikes can carry a maximum of 3 children.

  • All children must use appropriate seats and seatbelts provided with the bike.

6. Locks & Parking

  • Each bike is provided with a complimentary lock.

  • Staff will explain how to use the lock when the bike is picked up.

  • The renter must lock the bike every time it is parked and take reasonable precautions to prevent theft.

7. Damage or Theft

  • The renter is fully responsible for any damage, loss, or theft of the bicycle during the rental period.

  • In case of theft, the renter must:

    1. Notify VIVELO immediately

    2. File a police report with the local authorities

Costs related to damage or theft may be deducted from the security deposit.

8. Liability

  • The renter acknowledges that cycling involves risks.

  • Bicycles are used entirely at the renter’s own risk.

  • VIVELO Bikes is not responsible for injury, accidents, or damages occurring during the rental period.
