ABUS GRANIT™ Super Extreme 2500 — U-Lock

The ABUS GRANIT™ Super Extreme 2500 is a maximum-security U-lock developed specifically to resist attacks with cordless angle grinders — a method increasingly observed in urban bike theft. It holds ABUS Security Level 15, the highest rating in the system, and carries eight independent international certifications including ART 4-star, Sold Secure Pedal Cycle Diamond, Sold Secure Powered Cycle Diamond, FG, FA, Varefakta, SBSC, and SRA. It received the Eurobike Award 2023.
 
The shackle is constructed from a 31 × 28 mm square-section hardened steel core with an outer plastic coating. Both the shackle and the lock body are reinforced with a specially developed tungsten carbide composite material, which significantly increases resistance to angle grinder cutting by accelerating wear of the abrasive disc before the lock yields. All structural components of the locking mechanism — the shackle, the housing, and all load-bearing parts — are manufactured from specially hardened steel. The ABUS Power Cell technology provides additional resistance against impact and pulling attacks.
 
The lock cylinder is an ABUS XPlus unit, offering high resistance to picking, drilling, and manipulation, with over one million individual locking combinations. Double locking of the shackle into the lock body increases structural integrity under forced attack. The large internal dimensions of the shackle provide versatile anchoring options when securing the bicycle to fixed structures.
 
The USH 2500 frame mount is included, allowing the lock to be transported securely on the bicycle. The mount attaches via plastic-coated metal tension straps and optional bolt holes, and holds the lock firmly at both ends of the shackle to prevent movement during transit. Compatible with the ABUS One Key system, allowing multiple locks to be operated with a single key.
